My artwork is rooted in the belief that women have long been separated from their instinctive, untamed selves—softened, silenced, or shaped to fit expectations that diminish their true nature. Inspired by Clarissa Pinkola Estés’ writing, I explore the idea of “singing over the bones,” the act of awakening what has been buried and reclaiming the parts of ourselves we were taught to hide. Ultimately, the project is an invitation to return to our deepest knowing, to shed the false skins we’ve worn, and to step back into the fullness of who we are.
