This body of work begins with the belief that the self is a valid and necessary source. Our experiences, our histories, our emotions, and our ways of seeing shape what we create. What we have lived through, including what has marked us, holds weight. In turning inward, I use my own internal landscape as material, allowing memory and feeling to take form.
This work holds the belief that what we carry matters. Art made from the depths of the self contributes something honest to the world, an acknowledgement that our inner lives are not insignificant but essential.
