A Room of Her Own

A woman’s need for shelter is often deeply internal; not only a physical place to rest, but an inner space where she is held, seen, and allowed to lay down the weight she carries. Much of her life is spent tending to others, and my work traces the quiet ache that can grow beneath that responsibility. These pieces give form to the desire for a space of her own; for protection, for warmth, for a place that simply allows her to rest. In naming this need, I hope to honor the resilience and courage it takes to keep searching for such refuge, and the possibility for renewal that emerges when she finds it.
